Trident Ploughshares: Prisoner Support

Trident Ploughshares is a campaign to disarm the UK Trident nuclear weapons system in a non-violent, open, peaceful and fully accountable manner.

People from all around the world have pledged to disarm Trident in this way. They act to uphold international humanitarian law and to expose the illegality of the Trident system.
Innevitably, this brings them into contact with the authorities. There are regularly people in prison for their disarmament actions.
Some people may be in prison on remand, awaiting trial, and some may have been sentenced to time in prison as a result of their disarmament actions.
Other people are in prison as a result of their refusal to pay fines imposed for their disarmament work.
